Prevention is key! While diabetes is a serious disease in and of itself, prediabetes as the precursor to diabetes is becoming the focus for many clinicians, and guides them when counseling patients on the prevention of diabetes.
What communication gaps have you experienced between health care team members when diagnosing or treating people with prediabetes? Is the diagnosis of prediabetes often overlooked because collaborative care has not been effectively implemented here?
