Extended Q&A: Empowering Patients on GLP-1/Incretin-Based Therapies
Thank you for joining us for our recent webinar, From Intention to Action: Empowering Patients on GLP-1/Incretin-Based Therapies. The session's engagement sparked an incredible response—and made it clear there’s much more to explore.
Continue the discussion during a complimentary live follow-up Q&A session on September 22nd at 2:00 p.m. EDT. This interactive session is designed specifically for attendees like you, who are ready to dive deeper into the complex realities of counseling patients on GLP-1s. Dr. Nina Crowley will revisit—and build upon—the questions that stood out most during the webinar, including:
- Are GLP-1s contributing to disordered eating? How to recognize obsessive weight-loss behavior and guide patients toward sustainable, healthy outcomes—even if they discontinue medication.
- How can patients maintain muscle mass while on therapy? Explore concerns about lean mass loss and the potential of new GLP-1 combinations with muscle-preserving compounds.
- How do we balance patient excitement with the realities of long-term lifestyle change? Discover practical, empathetic ways to reinforce that there is no “quick fix”—without diminishing patient hope or momentum
We’ll also take on some of the tougher questions that emerged post-event:
- Strategies for building a multidisciplinary care team—even when insurance or leadership doesn’t make it easy.
- Clarifying protein needs for patients actively losing weight.
- Best practices for referring out or supporting patients when other specialties aren’t covered by their plan.
Join Dr. Crowley and your peers to get answers, share challenges, and continue building your confidence in guiding patients on GLP-1/incretin-based therapies.
