Webinar: The Biotics: Powerful or Pointless for GI Conditions? Everything You Need to Know About Pre-, Pro-, and Postbiotics

June 5, 2026

According to the 2022 Consumer Insights on Gut Health & Probiotics report conducted by the International Food Information Council (IFIC), 67% of consumers are familiar with the concept of probiotics, however, awareness drops for other biotics – specifically prebiotics and postbiotics – with nearly half of consumers having little to no idea what prebiotics and probiotics actually are, despite recognizing the terms.1

On Friday, June 5, from 12:30-1:30 p.m. ET, join GI-expert dietitian, Christine Randazzo Kirschner, and gastroenterologist, Dr. Lilly Gonzalez, as they present an evidence-based and engaging webinar that will demystify the world of biotics—specifically prebiotics, probiotics, and postbiotics—and explore whether they truly play a meaningful role in managing GI conditions, including IBS, IBD, SIBO, and functional dyspepsia. The duo will also discuss how the care team can work together to communicate and educate patients on the science of biotics.

With GI health being a hot topic and the supplement market booming, patients and providers alike are often left wondering, do these ‘-biotics’ actually work, or is it all just clever marketing? Christine and Dr. Gonazlez will cut through the hype and present current research, clinical guidelines, and practical insights that clinicians can apply to real-world situations.
