Webinar: The Critical Role of Gut Health: A Multidisciplinary Approach to Patient Care

October 21, 2025

The gut microbiome's influence on digestion, immunity, metabolism, and even brain function, affects everything from nutrient absorption to mood and chronic disease risk.1 As such, it’s imperative that clinicians have a clear understanding of the role of the gut in order to guide patients and clients on their health and wellness journeys. What’s more, health care team collaboration can influence the success of these journeys and result in improved patient outcomes, not only physically and mentally, but also with adherence to recommended changes to lifestyle behaviors.

Join Crystal Petrello, MS, RDN, LD, on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, from 2-3:30 p.m. ET, for a comprehensive overview of gut microbiome science. Crystal will define the fundamental principles, structure, and function of the gut microbiome, and identify clinical assessment tools and biomarkers for evaluating gut health. She will outline evidence-based interventions for both prevention and disease management, covering a range of topics from lifestyle influences to the implications of dysbiosis, immunity, and the gut-brain axis. A key focus on interprofessional collaboration will highlight strategies to improve patient outcomes through an integrated team approach. Crystal will equip practitioners with the knowledge and tools to effectively assess and address gut health in their clinical practice.
