After completing this continuing education course, healthcare professionals should be better able to:

  2. Detail the ways children of people with substance abuse disorder can be affected and how that impacts nutrition.
  3. Explain the long-term consequences of NAS.
  4. Formulate strategies that allow members of the care team to support efforts to improve nutrition outcomes for infants and children affected by the opioid epidemic.
